How to make a Choc-uterie board for Cinco De Mayo

Cinco de Mayo is a yearly celebration held on May 5, which commemorates the anniversary of Mexico's victory over the Second French Empire at the Battle of Puebla in 1862. In the United States, Cinco de Mayo has evolved into a commemoration of Mexican culture and heritage, particularly in areas with large Mexican-American populations like California.

Choc-uterie Board Basics:
Start with a serving board made of clean, dry wood that is the right size for the amount of servings and components on the menu. Add two or three of your favourite chocolates to the board as an anchor. Think about diversity, flavour, and texture of your food board when creating it. Variety adds aesthetic attractiveness to a board; sweet and salty flavour’s will complement it, and texture will guarantee a variety of mouthfeels.

Aim for sweet, salty, nutty and crunchy.

What you need:

  • Churro snacks
  • Peanut toffee brittle
  • Dark chocolate sea salt toffee brittle
  • Milk chocolate sea salt toffee brittle
  • Sprinkles (optional)
